Barbershop is Klichy's most classic bar — a real, honest lather that scrubs away the day without stripping your skin dry.

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Sunflower Oil, Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Water, Lye, Rose Clay, Alkanet Root.

Amber & Musk. Warm amber and spiced rum up top, rounded out by musk and a whisper of bay leaf underneath — the classic scent of an old-school barbershop, straight razor and hot towel included.

Medium Grit from rose clay — real texture, gentle enough for daily use.

Why You'll Love It

  • Old-School Character, Modern Skin Care: warm amber and musk give this bar a classic barbershop scent while real oils and shea butter keep skin conditioned, not dried out.
  • Real Exfoliation That Doesn't Overdo It: rose clay adds a medium-grit scrub that buffs away the day without leaving skin raw or tight.
  • A Bar Built to Last: a palm and castor oil base keeps this bar firm in the shower dish, so it outlasts soft, fast-melting bars.
Real glycerin, not stripped out. Most commercial bar soap has its natural glycerin removed and sold separately, leaving a harsher bar. Klichy soap keeps 100% of its glycerin right where it belongs. And yes, real soap requires lye (sodium hydroxide) — but through saponification it's fully transformed into soap and glycerin, so none remains in the finished bar.

Cold-processed and cured 4–6 weeks before it's ever ready to ship — made in small batches by two brothers, not mass-produced on a line. Gentle enough for every age in the family, no exceptions.

Store on a draining soap dish, out of standing water, between uses — cared for this way, a bar lasts about a month. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Coconut Oil

Big, cleansing lather and firmness in the bar.

Palm Oil

Hardens the bar so it lasts longer and won't turn to mush.

Sunflower Oil

Mild, gentle cleansing with lightweight moisture.

Olive Oil

Moisturizing, silky feel, gentle enough for sensitive skin.

Avocado Oil

Gentle and nourishing, suited for everyday use.

Shea Butter

Rich, luxurious moisture and conditioning.

Castor Oil

Boosts a silky, stable lather.

Water

Dissolves the lye during the soap-making process.

Lye (Sodium Hydroxide)

Required to make real soap — fully converted into soap and glycerin during saponification, none remains in the finished bar.

Rose Clay

Gentle exfoliation and mineral cleansing, plus this bar's soft natural tone.

Alkanet Root

A plant root that gives this bar its natural color, with mild soothing properties.

FAQ

What does "grit" mean, and is it right for my skin?
Grit comes from real, natural exfoliants like clays, seeds, or botanicals baked into the bar — the level varies by scent, right on the front of the box. It adds gentle texture for a deeper clean, but every Klichy bar is still safe for daily use unless noted otherwise.

How long will one bar last?
Stored on a draining soap dish, out of standing water, a Klichy bar lasts about a month of regular use. Leaving it sitting in water is the #1 reason handmade soap turns to mush fast.

Is this safe for sensitive skin or kids?
Yes — gentle enough for every age in the family, no exceptions. If irritation ever occurs, discontinue use.

Where and how is this made?
Hand-poured and hand-cut in small batches, then cold-processed and cured for 4-6 weeks before it's ever ready to ship — not mass-produced on a line.
